Here is our compilation of the The 8 Worst Injuries in Premier League History

We hope you enjoy our list – let us know in the comments what you think, do you agree?

8. Dave Busst

Among the worst injuries in the Premier League’s history happened between Manchester United and Coventry City in 1996. Busst collided with Dennis Irwin, a tackle which triggered a double compound fracture and his tibula pierced the skin.

The match was abandoned for 15 minutes while blood was washed off the pitch. TV channels chose not to reveal replays of the occasion. Even Peter Schmeichel received months of counselling, after initially throwing up on the pitch.

Busst never ever recovered from the injury and he was very lucky not to have had his leg amputated.
