Manchester City are plotting a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl, however they have been alerted the 22-year-old will cost around ₤ 40million.
City are eager to find a long-term replacement for Yaya Toure this summer season and believe Germany international Weigl can be their next midfield enforcer.
According to the Daily Mirror, Pep Guardiola has send scouts to see Weigl in action this season and are now ready to swoop for the young star when the transfer window opens.
Weigl has impressed ever since joining Dortmund in 2015 from Munich 1860.
Despite his young age, the 22-year-old has actually played over 130 games in senior football and his performances for BVB have seen him promoted to the senior Germany team with 5 caps to date.
